Mantras:The chanting of mantras and prayers give practitioners an unidentified strength to apply their mind on their service to those in need. Manthras are mystically powerful formulaes to be recited for spiritual uplift. A Manthra is a prayer, hymn or sacred formula that embodies Divinity or that aspect of God which is involved. Of all Manthras, the Pranava (AUM) is the highest and the best. It is the very head and crown of them all.
Sathya Sai Baba on Mantra:A mantra has two aspects. The first is the 'manana' or what has been learned has to be taken into your mind. The second is the aspect of 'trana', that is what has been taken into your mind has to be firmly established therien. By taking the Divine into your mind and firmly establishing it therein, if you can carry on with your life and do the work that is ordained for you, then your life will be full of happiness." .. GAYATHRI
Om Bhur Bhuvaḥ Swaḥ
Tat-savitur Vareñyaṃ
Bhargo Devasya Dheemahi
Dhiyo Yonaḥ Prachodayāt

Meaning: Om, Supreme Divine, You are the creator of this universe, of earth, space and heaven. We adore You, Oh Supreme Light, Source of all creation. We meditate upon Your Divine Radiance. Inspire all our thoughts, dispel our ignorance, and illuminate our intelligence.
A Healing Prayer -- "Mahamrithyunjaya Mantra"
Om Tryambakaṁ yajāmahe sugandhiṁ puṣṭi-vardhanam ǀ
Urvārukam-iva bandhanātmṛtyormukṣīya māmṛtāt

Meaning: We meditate on Shiva, the three-eyed one of sweet fragrance, who helps us grow spiritually. Like the fully-ripened cucumber (is easily snapped) from its stem, may I be free from the bondage of death.
Each of these three Manthras dedicated to the Lord Sathya Sai are in the holy Vedic metre called Gayathri (the chanting of which leads to liberation). The triple SAI GAYATRI MANTHRAS, which are dedicated to Bhagavan Sri Sathya Sai Baba, are powerful aids to devotees in enabling them to live in Divine Sai Consciousness.
