“Seva (service) is the best form of worship, the highest spiritual discipline, the essence of devotion. The bliss you receive through service cannot be gotten through any other activity. Service is more fruitful than repetition of the Name, meditation, or sacrifice. There is no morality higher than truth, no prayer more fruitful than service. When you offer a meal to a hungry child, or a blanket to a shivering brother on the pavement, you are placing a gift of God into the hand of another gift of God.” … Sri Sathya Sai Baba

Seva (pronounced ‘say-va’) means selfless service to our fellow beings and to all life.  Sai Baba says “Service to man is service to God.”.  When one serves another without expectations of reward, they are serving God in the other person.  He recommends that in this Kali Yuga, service is the best path to self-realization. Each Sai Vibrionics practitioner signs a pledge making a commitment to do a minimum number of hours of seva each month.
To advance on a spiritual path, one should do service on a regular basis.  If possible, at least one hour per day on average, or 7 hours a week, or 30 hours a month should be devoted. Vibrionics practitioners have taken a vow to God, committing a minimum number of hours of Vibrionics service each month.  While serving we should not consider that we are helping others but rather have the proper attitude that God is giving us an opportunity to serve by presenting ‘others’ to us. Only when service is performed in this spirit, then it can be of the greatest benefit toward one’s spiritual progress.
